Sentinels are robotic creations in the Marvel Universe designed specifically to hunt and eliminate mutants. Master Mold is a central processing unit that controls the Sentinels. While Sentinels have appeared in multiple comics, the first appearance of Master Mold was in *The X-Men* #15 (December 1965).
Over time, Sentinels have been created by various individuals and organizations, including Bolivar Trask. These mutant-hunting robots have evolved in design and capability, and often pose a significant threat to the X-Men and other mutants.
Due to their adaptability and large numbers, Sentinels have become one of the X-Men's most iconic adversaries, repeatedly appearing throughout the Marvel comic universe.
